Based in a charming former railway station, we are the perfect place to put your feet up and recharge. We have a beautiful, large, outdoor seating area, friendly staff, and a wide selection of hot drinks and food to help while away the hours. Formerly known as The Railway, we’ve had a modern makeover and now have a fresh new look.
And while we might have a new name and decor now, we’d like to reassure everyone that the toast is still the same. We’re never changing the toast.

Breakfasts
Traditional breakfasts are served until 11:30 am, and vegetarian/vegan breakfasts are served all day. Enjoy our locally sourced eggs, sausages, bacon and other cooked classics, our freshly baked farmhouse toast, our revitalising Acai bowl or a selection of sandwiches.
Brunch & Lunch
We won’t let you go hungry when you visit The Platform. Enjoy everything from our sensational halloumi brioche to the ever-popular chicken Caesar salad, roast beef sandwich, and much more, including multiple vegetarian/vegan options. Let’s also not overlook our signature Platform pancakes, served with crispy bacon, maple syrup and a choice of Nutella, Biscoff or banana topping. We have seasonal menus so keep your eyes open for new additions.
Cakes And Cookies
Our owner, Esther, loves baking, so you’ll always find plenty of sweet treats at The Platform. There’s nothing like a cupcake or cookie to pair with your favourite hot drink, or you can request our custom-made cakes for all your special occasions.
Hot Drinks
Unwind with a pot of tea or enjoy a rich cup of coffee at The Platform. We have everything from classic Americano coffees to luxury hot chocolates, velvety cappuccinos, and a selection of syrups and even (whisper it) Baileys to perk up your drink. We also serve a selection of beers and wines if you fancy something different.
Entertainment At The Platform
There’s always something going on at The Platform. We’ve hosted some top-notch entertainment, including live bands, karaoke nights, and even the brilliant Elton Fantastic, the UK’s best Elton John tribute act.
All entertainment is announced on our social media channels and we’ll have posters up at the eatery itself. Keep your eyes open and don’t miss an opportunity for a fantastic night out.

Where Is The Platform?
We’re based in Wombourne and can be found at the Old Railway Station. We’re in an idyllic location just off Bratch Lane, use the postcode WV5 9AD to find us.
What Are Your Opening Hours?
We are open at 10.00 with last orders at 14.30, from Tuesday to Sunday inclusive.
Do You Do Afternoon Tea?
Yes, we love afternoon tea. We have classic and luxury afternoon teas available, which include a selection of sandwiches, pork pie, hog roast rolls, croissants, hot drinks, cake, crisps, and our homemade scones with jam and cream.

Are Dogs Welcome?
We love dogs and provide biscuits and water for them. However, for everyone’s safety, we must insist they remain in the outdoor areas and be retained on their lead during their stay with us. Assistance dogs are allowed into the eatery itself.

Delicious Sandwiches
Came here yesterday with my two boys. Ordered our food with the lovely lady at the till. My boys also chose Oreo milkshakes which were delicious. All our food was presented nicely and very tasty. Cosy atmosphere and lovely staff. My boys were treated to a Halloween cupcake each which was a nice touch. Would be somewhere I’d recommend to others. Thank you.
What a lovely place this is, a friend had mentioned for us to try and do the railway /canal loop. My wife & I took our son and daughter in law and our 3 dogs. Had a lovely cooked breakfast, plenty of outdoor seating and a few inside as well. The service was very good as was the food. We very much enjoyed the walk taking in some nice scenery and narrow boats.

I have been to the platform before for breakfast & lunch and both times were so good. When I saw the afternoon tea picture on Instagram I wanted to try it. My friend and I had afternoon tea today for my birthday and it was AMAZING. So much food and all delicious we had to take the cakes home as was so full. Highly recommend!
A lovely place, easy to park, sit inside or out. Cakes are incredible. They stock gf and alternative milks. English breakfast also has veggie and vegan options and VERY reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back.
